European Reading Challenge 2022 Signup

As far as I'm concerned one of the best challenges going is Gilion's European Reading Challenge and she's hosting again in 2022--it's now the 10th year. The idea is to visit Europe by reading books set there; for full details see her signup post here. I'll pledge for the Jetsetter level (5 books) but I suspect I'll go over the top again, as I have every year I've done this one.

I never know what books I will read this for one, so I won't even speculate...

It's a fun one: join in!

  1. i really ought to do this as her blog is right next door, but (blush) i couldn't figure out how to (register?)... or what ever. i've never done a "challenge" before so it's a bit one-end-of-the-stringish...

    1. Really, I think you just say you're doing it and then that's about it. I use it kind of as an excuse to blog about some of the books I read.

    5. Excellent! This will be fun and give me an excuse to read the copy I've had for years. Mine's from Harvard, 1963, in a prose translation by Francis Peabody Magoun. Let me know when yours shows up & we can think about reading it.

  2. I look forward to seeing what books you find to read...and what countries you end up 'visiting'.

  3. I would love to do this but I have enough trouble completing the few challenges I've been faithful too. Have fun! I like reading about the new books you discover!

    1. I've definitely pared down the number of challenges I do, and with this one, without really any effort and for as long as I've recorded, I read a book from five different European countries, so it's not...really a challenge. ;-)
