Classics Club Spin #22. And the winner is...
That means it will be Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own for me. A very good spin choice indeed. I'm not really sure why I haven't already read it.
I suspect there may be lots of Classics Clubbers out there who have already read it. Do I have a treat in store?

That book looks awfully think for just an essay! Is there more in it? Commentary? I've not read it myself but I am sure you will enjoy it. I've only read To the Lighthouse and Mrs. Dalloway, both of which I loved...why did I stop there? So many books, so little time!
ReplyDeleteOOPS "Thick", not "think"
DeleteMaybe think, too!
DeleteIt also includes Three Guineas, which I also haven't read.
I'm like you--I loved To The Lighthouse & Mrs. Dalloway and then somehow stopped. I did also read the Common Readers (very good). I'm not really sure why I haven't read more. But now I will!
oh nooo... i have to read "The Egoist": Meredith... i've started it numerous times and now i have to really... gak
ReplyDeleteI've never even tried The Egoist--I knew better? No, not really--I know almost nothing about it. Hopefully this time's the charm for you!
DeleteI'm a fan of this one. :)
ReplyDeleteVery good to hear!
DeleteI have not. But I need to read it.
ReplyDeleteWe missed out on our impromptu readalong by one number! Oh, well. Merry Christmas and enjoy Paris!
DeleteI really, really liked this book! It is much more approachable and engaging than I thought it would be.
ReplyDeleteGood to know!
